Commissioned by the Society and engraved in 1979. This 1911 building, designed by Bostonian Guy Lowell (1870-1927), houses the library and a fabulous collection of historical materials relating to the Granite State. Over the entryway is a sculpture by Daniel Chester French which includes the Society's crest flanked by figures representing Modern History and Ancient History. Inside, the rotunda is faced in marble. The building is located in Concord, N.H. The engraved woodblock is 5" x 3".
