This little engraving shows Warren Brook in East Alstead, N.H., on a February day. Just to the left, out of view, is the dam that was built in the 1760s to create what is now known as Lake Warren. The dam that is shown was built by Heman Chase many years ago, to create a pool for horses to drink from. This print was used on the cover of the 1976 town report. The woodblock measures 2.5” x 2.88”.
